Leading Edge BeforeAfter School Programs is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and student-focused Lead Teachers to join our team for the upcoming school year in Lewis-Palmer School District 38.
Lead Teachers play an essential role in creating safe, engaging, and enriching environments where students can learn, build friendships, discover new interests, and thrive beyond the classroom. Working alongside the Site Director, Lead Teachers help guide daily program operations while serving as positive role models for students and supporting a fun, welcoming program culture.

Lead Teachers will begin with paid orientation and training the week prior to the start of the 2026–2027 school year. The Lewis-Palmer School District school year begins on August 12, 2026, and training will take place during the preceding week. Specific training dates, times, and locations will be provided upon hire.

Position: Lead Teacher
Location: Lewis-Palmer School District 38 (Monument, Colorado)
Position Type: Part-Time | School-Year Position
Typical schedules are Monday through Friday and vary by assigned school location. Programs operate during before-school and after-school hours based on each school's bell schedule.
Pay Range: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Pay Schedule: Biweekly, every other Friday
Lead Teachers help create welcoming, engaging, and well-organized programs where students feel safe, supported, and excited to participate each day.

Support the daily operation of before and after-school programs

Supervise students and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment

Lead games, enrichment activities, crafts, and hands-on learning experiences
-
Assist students with homework and academic support as needed

Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and fellow team members
-
Follow Colorado child care licensing regulations and Leading Edge policies
-
Complete attendance, daily documentation, and incident reporting as needed

Support the Site Director with program setup, organization, and daily operations

Serve as a positive role model through professionalism, teamwork, and enthusiasm

Lead Teachers help bring our monthly enrichment curriculum to life by facilitating engaging activities that encourage creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and exploration. While each month features themed programming, staff are encouraged to incorporate their own talents, interests, and creativity to make activities meaningful for their students.
Programming is centered around our six core enrichment labs:

Challenge Lab – Critical thinking games and friendly competitions

Art Enrichment Lab – Creative projects using a variety of artistic mediums

Homework Lab – Structured academic support

Physical Lab – Games and activities promoting movement and teamwork

Reading Lab – Literacy enrichment and group reading activities

STEM Lab – Hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math exploration

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience working with school-age children in education, licensed child care, recreation, camps, or youth programs preferred

Must meet, or be able to meet, Colorado State Child Care Licensing qualifications for a Lead Teacher

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
-
Comfortable using technology and web-based systems

Reliable transportation to assigned school location
Candidates qualifying through experience must provide verification from previous employer(s) on company letterhead documenting:
