We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading production teams, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. This role focuses on meeting production goals, maintaining regulatory compliance, minimizing downtime, and promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer demand.

Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA (as applicable), SQF, and company food safety policies.

Monitor production processes and make adjustments to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Ensure production equipment is operating properly and coordinate with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues.

Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, safety expectations, and operational updates.

Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure adherence to specifications.

Complete production reports, shift documentation, and inventory records accurately.

Train new employees on production procedures, food safety requirements, and workplace safety.

Enforce company policies and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning departments to support production objectives.

Monitor labor utilization, staffing levels, and production efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of food manufacturing experience.

At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and food safety regulations.

Experience with production scheduling and inventory management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Experience supervising high-volume food manufacturing operations.

Ability to analyze production metrics and implement process improvements.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to work in hot, cold, and refrigerated production environments as required.
