American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience for a travel contract in Florida, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and an active FL or compact RN license.

12-hour day shifts scheduled Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Operating Room (OR) setting with a strong orthopedic surgical focus

On-call responsibilities are required

Floating may be required to OR units at sister campuses, all located within 15–20 minutes of each other

Epic EMR in use

Active FL or compact RN license, verified through Nursys

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

Strong orthopedic surgical experience required

Degree from an accredited nursing program required (ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or FL Dept. of Health approved), or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification

Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius

Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be present at the facility on that day to obtain their badge/ID, with remote orientation components also included

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to consideration, as RTO will not be approved after an offer is made

Block scheduling requests are not accepted

Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to sister campuses as travelers are first to float

The facility conducts a pre-screen interview followed by a direct manager interview before extending an offer
