Overview
Are you ready to join our team at a truly authentic Italian restaurant. As a Host/Hostess, you will play a crucial role in serving customers at our food service establishment. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our establishment, contributing to the overall Italian dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests, maintain and manage a waitlist, present menus, answer phone calls and take carry out orders, and collect payments.
- Prepare linens and silverware, and clear away used dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and other areas of the restaurant as needed.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely service and support a positive work environment.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and protocols for food handling to ensure a safe dining experience.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the establishment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job.
- Must be able to demonstrate dependability and responsibility in the exercise of job assignments.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the establishment.
