Bartender - Ava's Pizzeria & Wine Bar
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving drinks, and ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. All bartenders must be available to work Sunday-Tuesday and have a minimum of five years experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and responding promptly to requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving practices.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system; ensure proper closing procedures are followed at the end of shifts.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Experience in food service or bartending is preferred; knowledge of mixology is a plus.
- Ability to train staff effectively and provide guidance in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order processing and payment handling.
