Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NDT - Level 2 (MRO Aviation) technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections on aircraft components and structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic, eddy current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and radiographic inspections on aircraft parts and assemblies.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and inspection procedures to accurately identify defects or irregularities.
- Perform quality control checks during manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure adherence to ASME codes & standards and industry specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and other precision instruments for detailed inspections and repairs.
- Collect and analyze data from inspections to support quality assurance documentation and reporting.
- Maintain detailed inspection records in compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an NDT Level 2 technician with certification recognized by relevant aviation authorities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT) techniques used in electronic assemblies.
- Knowledge of quality inspection, quality control, and quality assurance practices within the aviation or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing nondestructive testing and aerospace components.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, schematics reading devices, and soldering tools for precise inspections and repairs.
- Excellent analysis skills for identifying defects through various NDT methods; strong attention to detail is essential.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with data collection capabilities to support quality documentation efforts.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
