Job Overview
The Youth Education & Program Coordinator supports HUM’s mission by coordinating educational and faith‑based programming for children. This role oversees tutoring activities related to the educational program, manages the Good News Club (a one‑hour weekly Bible‑based children’s program), and ensures that volunteers, materials, and schedules are well organized. The coordinator works closely with the Program Manager to maintain high‑quality, safe, and engaging experience for participating children.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of the children’s tutoring program, including scheduling, communication with families, and volunteer support.
· Plan and facilitate team building play time, including group games, cooperative activities, and positive social interaction opportunities. Support the development and implementation of two potential new programs: Finances for Kids and Art Therapy, incorporating age‑appropriate curriculum, materials, and volunteer engagement.
- Lead the organization and weekly execution of the Good News Club, ensuring materials, volunteers, and activities are prepared.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers for educational and ministry programs.
- Maintain attendance records, volunteer logs, and program documentation.
- Order and manage supplies for tutoring, Good News Club, and related children’s programs.
· Assist with planning and implementing special events or seasonal activities for children,
including summer camp and an annual art show.
Ensure all children’s programming aligns with the existing weekly Bible study led by the HUM Chaplain.
Ensure a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all children and volunteers.
- Communicate regularly with the Program Manager and all staff, regarding program needs, challenges, and successes.
- Perform other duties assigned to support HUM’s educational and youth ministry efforts.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, ministry, or youth program settings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Associates degree in field or retired teacher
- Ability to lead volunteers and work collaboratively with staff.
- Comfort with faith‑based programming and sharing biblical lessons with children.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work Saturday mornings.
- Background check and drug test required.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage in active programming with children.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
