About the Role
Friends of Cyrus II is a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to adults with developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in helping individuals lead meaningful, independent lives.
DSPs support individuals in both day habilitation/volunteer centers and community residential settings. This includes assisting with daily living activities, personal care, medication support, and community integration.
Schedule Options
- Day, Evening, and Weekend shifts available

Compensation
- Starting pay: $18.47 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, mobility)
- Provide support with medication administration (as trained)
- Encourage independence and skill development
- Support participation in community and recreational activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans
- Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking compassionate, dependable individuals who are committed to making a difference. Ideal candidates are patient, hands-on, and eager to learn. Students and graduates in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (must provide diploma or transcripts)
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass all required background checks, including:
- NJ Central Registry
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
- Fingerprinting
- Drug screening
- Employment physical
- TB / Mantoux (PPD) test
