Job Summary
Greater Praise Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated, faith‑driven Lower School Teacher to join our growing academic team. The ideal candidate will cultivate a Christ-centered, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of young learners. This role includes designing meaningful instruction, assessing student progress, and partnering with families to ensure each child thrives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive, standards‑aligned lesson plans that support literacy, mathematics, science, and overall childhood development for grades K–5.
- Integrate Biblical principles into daily instruction, modeling Christian character and values.
- Utilize creative and innovative teaching strategies, including appropriate learning technology, to enhance student engagement.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and loving classroom environment that supports effective behavior management.
- Provide differentiated instruction and individualized support for students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education support.
- Offer additional academic support through tutoring, small‑group instruction, or enrichment activities.
- Administer assessments and standardized tests as required; analyze results to guide instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional planning, and cross‑grade initiatives.
- Maintain consistent, open communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and behavioral expectations.
- Participate in professional development to strengthen instructional practices and stay current on best practices in elementary education.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting; prior classroom teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in private, Christian, or Montessori‑influenced environments is a plus.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills essential for lesson planning and parent engagement.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including autism spectrum disorders or behavioral challenges, is beneficial.
- Ability to implement effective behavior management strategies and maintain a warm, structured learning environment.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning and helping young students grow academically and spiritually.

Pay: $41,000.00 - $53,500.00 per year
