Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part time bartender, server and barback to join our team in a dynamic dining environment for our upcoming spring/summer season. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a team member, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and drink orders using Toast POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our fine dining standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for checks
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling practices
- Always punctual and professional, holding high standards for optimal guest experience
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred
- Familiarity with Toast system is advantageous
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and guest relations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and check processing
- Experience in bussing or host/host roles is beneficial
