Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all areas are well-kept.
- Engage in industrial cleaning processes when required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Support porter duties by helping with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
- Occasionally assist with residential painting projects to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning environments will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
