Fifth grade is a milestone year. Students are developing greater independence, tackling more rigorous academic content, and preparing for the transition to middle school. It is a time when confidence, leadership, responsibility, and critical thinking become just as important as academic achievement.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher who can challenge, support, and inspire students during this important stage of their educational journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about student achievement, skilled at building relationships, and committed to creating a classroom where every learner can succeed.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Experience teaching literacy and mathematics
- Knowledge of child development and effective instructional practices
- Ability to develop and implement engaging, standards-based curriculum
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field (highly desired)
- Valid Teaching Certification (highly desired)
- Previous upper elementary teaching experience
- Experience supporting students with special education needs
- Experience working with students with autism
- Proficiency using educational technology and digital learning tools
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
