Overview
Viking Distribution is a family-owned building material distributor located in East Providence RI. We are looking for an experienced qualified Moffett Truck Operator.
- Safely operate Class B trucks to deliver building materials
- Load and unload your own truck using forklifts, Moffett, and manual labor as required
- Deliver to active jobsites and load returns from customer locations
- Secure loads properly and inspect materials for accuracy and condition
- Complete required logs, inspections, and delivery paperwork
- This role requires physical effort and problem-solving — it’s not dock-to-dock driving.
- Experience operating Moffett and forklifts is a required
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of sustained, heavy work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift 80 lbs and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs independently
- Frequent bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and material handling
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
