About the Role
NTi Technologies is a DFW-based commercial technology company with nearly 40 years of experience delivering structured cabling, cloud communications, access control, and AV solutions to businesses across the Metroplex. We are expanding into the data center cabling market and are looking for an experienced professional who can help us execute on that initiative while also owning project management and site survey responsibilities across our existing commercial cabling book of work.
This is a hybrid role — part field, part PM, part BD support. You won't just be pulling cable. You'll be scoping jobs, running crews, conducting site surveys, and helping us respond to RFPs and win structured cabling contracts in a market segment that is growing fast.
What You'll Do
- Lead site surveys for new commercial and data center cabling opportunities
- Manage structured cabling projects from pre-construction through closeout and as-builts
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, and riser diagrams
- Respond to RFPs and assist in preparing scopes, submittals, and bid packages
- Coordinate with general contractors, electrical primes, and end-user IT teams
- Oversee installation crews on Cat6/6A, fiber optic, and data center cabling projects
- Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA standards and Division 16/27 (Low Voltage/Communications) specifications
- Support business development efforts in the data center vertical — colo operators, hyperscalers, electrical prime subcontract opportunities
What We're Looking For
We want experience, not just potential. If you've never run a structured cabling project or set foot in a data center, this role is not the right fit. If you've done it and want to do more of it with a company that is growing and investing, keep reading.
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) — required
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings — required
- Demonstrated experience responding to structured cabling RFPs and preparing bid submittals
- Working knowledge of Division 16/27 low-voltage specifications (CSI MasterFormat)
- Field experience with Cat6A copper, single-mode and multimode fiber, and structured cabling system installation
- Familiarity with BICSI standards, TIA-568/569/942, and data center infrastructure norms preferred
- Experience working as a subcontractor under electrical primes or as a cabling contractor on commercial build-outs
- Strong communication skills — you'll interact with GCs, IT managers, and end clients
Compensation
- Base salary: $75,000 – $100,000 depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated project history
- Performance bonus: 10–20% of base salary tied to project margins, new contract wins, and data center business development milestones
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
- Health benefits
- Paid time off
We pay for performance and we reward people who deliver. If you're the right person for this role, the ceiling here is real.
