Job Summary**
Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Civil/Mechanical Equipment Operator (Non-Driver) for our Dolet Hills project. This role involves operating various heavy civil and mechanical equipment on site to support construction and maintenance activities, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
Job Responsibilities**
- Operate a range of heavy equipment including, but not limited to, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and compactors, following all safety protocols and project specifications.
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and visual inspections, reporting any defects or malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist in grading, excavating, backfilling, and trenching activities according to project plans and blueprints.
- Move and position materials such as dirt, rock, and aggregates as required for construction and site preparation.
- Collaborate with ground crews and other operators to ensure coordinated and safe execution of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Support other team members with various tasks as needed to ensure project completion.
Job Qualifications**
- Proven experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Demonstrated ability to operate equipment with precision and efficiency.
- Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, grade stakes, and survey markers.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company and site-specific safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including sitting for extended periods, climbing, and lifting.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and challenging outdoor environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant equipment operator certifications are a plus.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
