American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and prior travel assignment history.

Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center

Emergency Department (ER) unit
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00

On-call required as needed
-
Weekends required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered and can be discussed during the interview

Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
-
Cerner EMR experience preferred
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license — state-specific (MS) or Compact (NLC); no pending licensure accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required; 3+ years preferred
-
Level I Trauma Center experience required

Large hospital experience preferred

ADN degree or higher required for this position

Current BLS certification required

Valid driver's license required for consideration

At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible (exception: candidates with 3+ years of recent experience may be considered)

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved if not listed at the time of initial consideration

Holiday coverage: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work 2 of the 3; if only 2 of those holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must be willing to work at least 1

Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
