Job Overview
Alliance Paving is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operationg heavy equipment safely and efficiently while working on paving, grading, and site development projects.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers to perform paving, grading, excavation, and material transport tasks.
- Manage concrete pumping and finishing operations to ensure smooth, durable surfaces.
- Assist with concrete forming and rebar installation to prepare sites for paving and other structural work.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment to perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- Support the setup of construction sites by coordinating with team members on equipment placement and safety protocols.
- Ensure all vehicles and machinery adhere to safety standards and are operated in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and crew members to meet project timelines while maintaining quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and concrete mixers.
- Strong knowledge of paving techniques, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping processes.
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, and site preparation.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent for operating commercial vehicles safely on job sites.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and project workflows.
