Job Title: Maintenance Professional

About the Role
The Catholic Diocese of Peoria is seeking a dependable part-time Maintenance Professional to perform general building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep at Diocesan properties. This position helps ensure our buildings and grounds remain safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained for employees, volunteers, parishioners, and visitors.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
What You Will Do
- Perform general building maintenance and janitorial duties, including painting, minor repairs, yard cleanup, sweeping, mopping, and other facility upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Frequent pickup of donated items using a truck/trailer combo.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What You Need
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is required before employment.
- Experience operating a pickup truck and trailer.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
Physical and Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing or walking for extended periods.
