Job Description:
Sexual Abuse Response Center Survivor Advocate is a professional position that provides specialized advocacy and support services to sexual assault victims (children and adults) and their significant others; services include individualized client assessment, education and referral services. Services are offered in collaboration with other internal departments, law enforcement, and other agencies. Survivor Advocate participates directly and, recruits and trains volunteers for SARC round-the-clock (RTC) 24-hour on- call services for sexual assault victims; routinely conducts client follow-up. The position includes a variety of administrative duties associated with multiple roles. In addition to direct and administrative duties, the Survivor Advocate contributes time and expertise to the agency’s public education, outreach, and fundraising activities.
Job Qualifications:
Requires a BA/BS degree in social/behavioral science (e. g. social work, psychology, sociology, child and family studies, and criminal justice). Demonstrated history of effective organizational skills; teamwork and ability to work effectively with people who are diverse in age, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds are required. Past work experience in social/human service-setting is desirable. Previous experience and training on the dynamics of interpersonal violence, its effect on victims, and sexual assault and abuse is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people who are diverse in age, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds is required.

Salary Range $32,000 - $45,000
Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
