About the Role
As a multi-craft Maintenance Technician, your primary objective is to minimize equipment downtime by proactively preventing failures and addressing breakdowns swiftly. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager or team lead to document repair specifics and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
By collaborating with production teams and utilizing 5S methodologies, you will help organize materials and optimize line efficiency. Your role involves a hands-on approach to equipment changeovers, repairs, and inventory management, while also mentoring the maintenance team to ensure they are proficient in these essential tasks. Furthermore, you will champion safety by strictly adhering to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) protocols and proactively reporting any hazardous conditions.
Core Responsibilities-
Ensure facility equipment is repaired promptly to maintain operational flow.

Help foster a culture of safety and compliance by enforcing HACCP, LOTO, GMP, CI, and 5S standards.

Support the team by auditing, configuring, and testing various machinery.

Oversee boiler performance and manage water chemical treatment data logs.

Utilize CMMS software to manage parts requests and anticipate future inventory needs.

Guide the maintenance staff to enhance production uptime and overall efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance on mechanical components like motors, gearboxes, chains, and seals.

Execute adjustments using HMI screens and drive programming.

Resolve technical issues across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Promote a collaborative atmosphere by working alongside Production, QA, and Management teams.
Required Skills and Expertise-
Demonstrate effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly across all organizational levels.

Provide immediate support to resolve emergency breakdowns anywhere on the production line.

Conduct rapid diagnostics and repairs for both mechanical and electrical equipment failures.

Interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics, manuals, and technical specifications.

Mentor colleagues to build their technical proficiency in troubleshooting and equipment setup.

Operate machinery in teach mode via HMI or pendant interfaces independently.

Apply sound technical methodologies to ensure long-term, reliable resolutions for equipment repairs.

Manage AC/DC drive programming, with PLC programming skills considered a significant advantage.

Execute tasks efficiently based on work orders with minimal supervision.

Perform additional duties as required by the business.
Professional Background-
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and PLC systems.

Proficiency in AC/DC motor controls and PLC logic.

Competence in standard office software including Word, Outlook, and spreadsheets.

Operational experience with seamers, kitchen equipment, packaging lines, and boiler systems.
Qualifications-
At least 5 years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Familiarity with PLC logic and AC/DC motor controls is preferred.

An Associate degree in electrical technologies, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing is preferred.

Specialized training in Kuka robotics, electronics, retort processes, or boiler operations is a plus.

At least 5 years of experience in food packaging and processing environments.

Knowledge of water de-chlorination chemical processes is beneficial.

Five years of experience repairing industrial kitchen equipment.

Proven ability to use CMMS, 5S, 5Y, HACCP, LOTO, and CI methodologies.

Demonstrated experience and training in seamer operations.

Maintain constant situational awareness of the surrounding work environment.

Physical capability to stand for entire shifts and move objects weighing up to 200 lbs.
Work Environment
The Maintenance Supervisor must be physically capable of operating various types of machinery. This role requires frequent walking, standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawling. You must be comfortable working at heights reaching 30 feet and lifting weights of 75 pounds or more.
You will frequently encounter moving vehicles and mechanical parts. The environment involves exposure to high noise levels, varying weather conditions, high humidity, heat, and potentially wet or slippery surfaces.
Compensation and Benefits
