Morins Exteriors is seeking a Lead Residential Exterior Carpenter to oversee and perform exterior remodeling work on residential projects in the Proctor, Minnesota area.
This is a working leadership position for an experienced professional with a strong background in siding, windows, gutters, doors, exterior trim, flashing, or residential exterior remodeling. You will supervise a small crew while also completing installation work alongside the team.
The ideal candidate is an experienced carpenter or exterior remodeler who leads by example, keeps projects and crews organized, handles job-site challenges effectively, and ensures each project is completed safely, efficiently, and according to Morins' standards for craftsmanship and customer service.
- Lead and participate in the installation of seamless gutters, downspouts, steel siding, vinyl siding, exterior trim, and flashing.
- Install windows and doors so they are level, plumb, square, properly sealed, and protected from the weather.
- Verify that all weatherproofing work follows manufacturer requirements and company quality standards.
- Plan layouts and accurately measure, cut, fit, and install exterior materials.
- Maintain job sites that are safe, clean, organized, and productive.
- Coordinate daily crew activities, assign responsibilities, and help keep projects on schedule.
- Train, guide, and support crew members while encouraging teamwork and high-quality work.
- Communicate with project managers, homeowners, and office personnel regarding job progress, material needs, and site conditions.
- Record work hours, project notes, and job documentation through JobNimbus and QuickBooks Workforce.
- Represent Morins professionally and respectfully at every customer's property.
- Five or more years of experience in residential exterior carpentry, siding, remodeling, or a related installation trade.
- Previous experience as a lead carpenter, crew leader, or field supervisor is preferred.
- Ability to direct a small crew, delegate responsibilities, and keep projects progressing efficiently.
- Strong skills in measuring, layout, cutting, fitting, and exterior product installation.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finished work.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and completing work correctly the first time.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights and in enclosed areas when necessary.
- A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Willingness to use digital systems for timekeeping, project notes, and field documentation.
- Strong verbal communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to earn trust, coach team members, and contribute to a positive crew environment.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety training is a plus.
- A team-oriented attitude and the ability to adapt and solve problems in the field.

- Hourly compensation of $30-$36, based on experience.
