Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver ( 30 and older) to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating 26 ft box trucks to deliver appliances and install efficiently and on time. (Experience is required with install) expertise in commercial driving, route planning, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth deliveries . This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, providing top-tier service while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 26ft box trucks.
- Have experience delivering appliances and installing them. (Experience is a required)
- Monday thru Saturday
- Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight to prevent damage during transit and customers home.
- Driver assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the route.
- Have experience operation equipment as needed for loading or unloading freight.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass Drug and background check.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with freight handling.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking operations and cargo securement standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload freight.
- Strong route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and timely deliveries.
