Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. The ideal candidate will possess strong animal handling skills, a love for pets, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Groomers MUST have their own tools!
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions through proper handling and restraint techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ grooming needs, providing recommendations for care between visits.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming trends and techniques to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Experience
- Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; however, candidates with strong animal handling skills may be considered.
- Previous experience in customer service is essential to ensure effective communication with pet owners.
- Familiarity with veterinary technician duties or knowledge of animal care practices is a plus.
- Experience in dog training or working in a kennel environment can enhance your qualifications for this role.
- A background in equine care or other animal restraint techniques is beneficial but not required.
