Experienced Apprentice / Junior Technician – Tile & Grout
The Grout Medic of West Cincinnati is a growing tile and grout restoration company serving West Cincinnati and the surrounding communities. We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual with hands-on construction, remodeling, tile, grout, flooring, or related experience who is ready to develop their skills and grow into a professional tile and grout technician.
This is not a traditional entry-level position. The ideal candidate has experience working with their hands, understands basic construction practices, is comfortable using tools, and takes pride in doing quality work. Tile and grout experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a strong construction background and a willingness to learn.
What We’re Looking For
● Previous experience in construction, remodeling, tile, flooring, carpentry, painting, or a related trade
● Tile and grout experience is a strong plus
● Comfortable using hand and power tools
● Good understanding of basic construction practices
● Able to perform detailed work with limited supervision
● Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
● Professional, friendly, and respectful when working in customers’ homes
● Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
● Clean, professional appearance
● Reliable transportation
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
● Must pass an MVR and criminal background check
● Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
● Must speak English well
Responsibilities
You will work alongside our team learning and performing tile and grout restoration services, including:
● Grout cleaning
● Grout repair and re-grouting
● Grout color sealing
● Re-caulking
● Tile repair
● Tile replacement
● Tile installation
● Water-damage repair related to tile work
● Proper preparation and protection of customers’ homes
● Maintaining a clean and organized work area
● Providing professional customer service
Drywall repair experience is a plus, but not required.
Schedule
Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities Available
Typical work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Saturday work is rare, but occasional Saturdays are required when business needs and scheduling demand it.
This position requires traveling to customers’ homes throughout our service area.
Vehicle Requirements
Employees must have access to a newer, reliable, well-maintained, and clean vehicle suitable for traveling to customers’ homes.
Gas and applicable tolls are reimbursed according to company policy.
Company vehicles may become available after 6 months for employees who maintain a clean driving record and meet company requirements.
