Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, social skills, and emotional development
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Assist with classroom or daycare activities that foster childhood development and early education principles
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-appropriate activities
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response in emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong understanding of early childhood education methods and classroom experience
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a nurturing approach
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and team members
