JOB SUMMARY: Functions as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee; responsible for direct service care to individuals served.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide support service in accordance to ISP Plan
2. Assist Persons Served during Community Outings
3. Assist Persons Served in meal planning
4. Train Persons Served in activities of daily living (ADL’s)
5. Assist Persons Served in Shopping Planning
6. Assist Persons Served in in maintaining unit safety.
7. Assist Persons Served in budget planning.
8. Perform duties as assigned by Program Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Human Service Field preferred but not required (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling, and substance abuse.)
Experience: As a QMHP-T, a master’s or bachelor’s degree in human services or related field or at least 15 school credit hours in Human Services .
Skills: Documented completion of “Pats” behavior management program training or equivalent. Documented ability to assist in activities of daily living.
Machines And Equipment To Be Used: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone, and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
Typical Physical Demands: Required manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machine such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office and/or clerical equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Typical Mental Demands: Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
Working Conditions: Flexible hours to meet job demands.
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
