We are IAS Accredited Class 1 Special Inspections Agency in NYC currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer for inspections on current construction projects of Mechanical, Sprinkler, Standpipe and Life Safety Components.
```Duties```
- Conduct inspections of mechanical, sprinkler, standpipe and life safety systems, components, and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and tests using precision tools and equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify and document any defects or non-conformities
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare detailed reports on findings.
```Experience```
- Minimum of [1] years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or in a similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- ICC Certified Mechanical Inspector a plus
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical Engineer or Fire Protection Engineering
This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for quality assurance and be able to effectively communicate findings to the engineering team.
