ENETK is seeking a Controls System Integrator to support automation and instrumentation systems used in energy and industrial facilities. This role focuses on PLC programming, control system integration, and field installation of automation equipment.
Primary Automation Platforms
- Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation
- Studio 5000
- Logix 500
- HMI platforms including Red Lion and Beijer
The role includes a mix of control system design, PLC programming, field installation, and commissioning of automation systems in energy facilities.
Automation & Control Systems
- Program and configure PLC and RTU hardware used in industrial automation systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot automation solutions using platforms such as:
- Rockwell Automation Studio 5000
- Logix 500
- Allen-Bradley
- Configure and maintain HMI systems including Rockwell, Red Lion, and Beijer Electronics.
- Integrate automation equipment with plant control systems and field instrumentation.
System Design & Engineering
- Create and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Design control panels and systems to UL specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for drafting and documentation.
- Design and support industrial network infrastructure, including ethernet, copper, and fiber optic cabling.
Field Installation & Integration
- Support installation, startup, and commissioning of automation systems in operational facilities.
- Troubleshoot motor control circuits, electrical systems, and automation equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot serial communications and industrial networks.
- Install and integrate process instrumentation and measurement systems.
Instrumentation & Electrical Systems
- Work with a variety of instrumentation and electrical systems including:
- Process transmitters
- Multimeters and process meters
- HART communication tools
- Apply best practices for noise isolation, grounding, and signal integrity.
- Work with systems operating in hazardous locations and ensure proper wiring and compliance.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers to ensure projects are completed to specification.
- Coordinate system integration efforts across engineering, operations, and field teams.
- Assist in planning project timelines, estimating resources, and supporting successful project delivery.
Team Leadership
- Provide direction and mentorship to Instrumentation Technicians as needed.
- Assign tasks based on team member skillsets and support quality workmanship on installations.
- Promote strong safety practices and company culture on job sites.
Required
- Associate degree in Instrumentation & Controls or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls integration, or oil & gas environments.
- Experience programming PLC and RTU systems, particularly Allen-Bradley / Rockwell platforms.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting automation and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial processing facilities.
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with hazardous location wiring and safety practices.
- Experience designing and installing industrial networking infrastructure.
