Doghouse Rehab is a concierge physical therapy practice that brings high-quality rehabilitation directly into dogs’ homes throughout Los Angeles. We believe exceptional rehabilitation shouldn’t be limited by travel, mobility challenges, or access to specialty hospitals.
We’re looking for our first Physical Therapist to join the team.
This isn’t simply another clinical job—it’s an opportunity to help shape a growing practice dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed rehabilitation while delivering an exceptional experience for every client and every dog.
About You
You are first and foremost an excellent clinician.
You enjoy solving complex movement problems, thinking critically, and adapting treatment plans based on each patient’s presentation. You’re comfortable working independently, communicating confidently with clients, and taking ownership of your caseload.
Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy working with dogs.
Canine rehabilitation experience is preferred, but it is not required. If you’re an outstanding physical therapist who is excited to learn veterinary rehabilitation, we’re prepared to invest in the right person.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home canine physical therapy evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Design individualized rehabilitation programs.
- Progress treatment plans using strong clinical reasoning.
- Educate owners so they can confidently continue exercises between visits.
- Document visits accurately and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians when appropriate.
- Deliver an exceptional concierge-level client experience.
- Travel throughout the Los Angeles area.
Qualifications
Required
- Licensed Physical Therapist (DPT or equivalent).
- Strong orthopedic and/or neurologic rehabilitation background.
- Excellent clinical reasoning.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Organized and dependable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- CCRT, CCRP, or other canine rehabilitation certification.
- Experience working with dogs in a rehabilitation, veterinary, or athletic setting.
- Interest in continuing education in canine rehabilitation.
