Position: Fundraising Lead

Position Summary:
The Fundraising Lead is responsible for developing and executing the campaign's fundraising strategy to ensure the financial resources needed to successfully compete and communicate with voters throughout the 13th Congressional District. This individual will cultivate donor relationships, organize fundraising events, oversee online giving efforts, and help build a sustainable donor network that supports the campaign's mission.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy:
· Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan.
· Establish monthly and quarterly fundraising goals.
· Identify opportunities to increase donor engagement and revenue.
· Track fundraising progress and provide regular reports to campaign leadership.
Donor Development:
· Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, community leaders, business owners, veterans, faith leaders, and supporters.
· Identify prospective donors and cultivate new fundraising opportunities.
· Coordinate donor meetings, phone calls, and fundraising events for the candidate.
· Ensure donors receive timely thank-you communications and updates.
Event Planning:
· Organize fundraising events, meet-and-greets, receptions, and community gatherings.
· Recruit event hosts and sponsors.
· Coordinate event logistics, invitations, ticket sales, and follow-up communications.
· Work with volunteers to maximize attendance and fundraising results.
Digital Fundraising:
· Collaborate with the Communications Lead to develop email fundraising campaigns.
· Promote online giving through social media and campaign communications.
· Monitor online donation performance and recommend improvements.
· Assist with website donation page optimization.
Compliance and Financial Reporting:
· Work closely with the Treasurer to ensure compliance with all FEC fundraising regulations.
· Maintain accurate donor records and contribution tracking.
· Ensure required donor information is collected and documented.
· Monitor fundraising activities to ensure legal and ethical compliance.
Volunteer Fundraising Program:
· Recruit and train volunteer fundraisers.
· Establish peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
· Encourage supporters to host fundraising events and donor outreach activities.
Qualifications:
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Comfortable making direct fundraising asks.
· Experience in fundraising, sales, business development, nonprofit development, political campaigns, or community organizing preferred.
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to build relationships with diverse groups of supporters.
· Passion for public service and the campaign's mission.
Preferred Qualities:
· Self-starter who can work independently.
· Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
· Familiarity with campaign finance regulations is a plus.
· Experience working with faith-based, veteran, civic, or community organizations is highly desirable.
Performance Metrics:
· Monthly fundraising goals achieved.
· Number of new donors acquired.
· Donor retention rate.
· Event fundraising performance.
· Growth of recurring donor program.
· Total funds raised compared to campaign benchmarks.
Time Commitment:
· Part-Time (Early Campaign)
· Full-Time (As Campaign Expands)
Compensation:
· Volunteer, stipend, or salaried position based on campaign resources and fundraising performance.
