Duties
- Prepare and cook burgers according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning meats with precision and efficiency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, sanitation, and temperature control practices
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new burger creations or improvements based on customer feedback and current trends
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality
- Serve finished dishes promptly to customers or front-of-house staff while maintaining a positive attitude
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant kitchen roles, preferably with burger or grill station experience
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food handling safety procedures
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of health standards
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining environments highly desirable
- Excellent food industry knowledge including food safety regulations, meal preparation techniques, and food service operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior kitchen experience in restaurants or food service establishments is preferred; culinary experience that showcases your cooking skills is essential
