We are seeking a highly skilled Die Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing die tools used in our manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure the precision and efficiency of die operations, supporting our commitment to quality and safety. - The primary duties for this position are to;
- Tooling Inventory Control
- Sticker reorder review
- Receiving tool inspection\revision level
- Maintain and organize tool cabinets and quantity (including safety stock)
- RFQ for tool ordering and order status
- Reviewing QM changes and tooling updates/revision changes or new issues.
- Assisting the Production Engineering Manager in the accomplishment of responsibilities related to manufacturing process control.
- Support management to assure accurate records of tooling/DM activity.
- Coordinate suppliers’, vendors’ activities within and on behalf of the company when needed.
- Assure that all processes are capable of producing parts to customer or quality specifications in a safe & reliable manner.
- Design new products and makes improvements to existing products.
- Evaluate products, parts or processes for cost efficiency, reliability and ensure project completion.
- Performs engineering design and trial evaluations and works to complete projects within scheduling restraints.
- Plans and designs methods to improve efficiency in production.
- Assure that compliance is met using approved methods and quality standards.
- Communicate to management the status of all project activity.
- Prepare and complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner as assigned.

Other duties will include:
- Working with other departments to assure tooling inventory and costs align with business goals and expectations.
- Working with tooling suppliers to assure tooling meets manufacturing standards.
- Support press calls and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Required to present for meetings & information sharing at management meetings as needed.
- Control grinding tool process and inventory.
- Data entry of spreadsheets and reports as assigned.
- Support department kaizen activities and special projects.
- Must be available for unexpected emergencies during & after normal shift hours.
- Other duties as required.

Training Requirements
- Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in a stamping environment.
- Supervisory training or experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Trade or technical school certificate.
- Learn to operate all machinery.
- Forklift operator certification.
- Overhead crane operator certification.
- Other material handling equipment.
- Understanding purchasing procedures.

- Ability to lift 30-45 pounds frequently
- Overtime as required
- Ability to remain on feet for prolonged periods

Consideration will be given to employees who have
- At least 4 years previous work experience with facility knowledge.

Skills & Educational Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years or the equivalent in associate’s program, or;
- Five (5) years previous experience in manufacturing facility activities
- Basic MS Office skills (XL, Word)
- Leadership role a plus
