American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a NM or Compact RN license.

General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit with occasional non-critical pediatric patients

Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Patient ratio of 1:6

Floating required
-
On-call is limited to census flex call prior to shift start when census is low; no structured on-call schedule

EMR: MedHost

13-week contract

Active NM or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required

BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
-
No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico; submitting agency must be registered with the state of NM
-
Scrubs: any color permitted

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
