Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Route Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for managing daily recurring service routes, pickup and delivery routes as well as same day requests as needed. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine logistical experience and customer service, ensuring timely deliveries while enhancing customer satisfaction. Your energy, organizational & communication skills and attention to safety will be vital in keeping operations smooth and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Assign all pick-up and delivery work orders
- Assign all recurring service orders
- Maintain the order of the routes daily for efficiency and accuracy
- Complete all weekly route updates to save the route in order
- Provide all necessary data as needed for various company reports on efficiency and profitability
- Ensure all routes are completed daily
- Work with Operations Supervisor to schedule truck maintenance and repairs as needed
- Engage with clients professionally, providing excellent customer service and building lasting relationships
- Answer phones and respond to emails as needed
- Enter delivery, pick up and service orders as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Northern Virginia
- Previous Routing experience
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Basic math skills for calculating pricing, distances, and delivery schedules
- Organizational skills for managing multiple routes efficiently and on time
