Our client is a rapidly growing national services company experiencing significant expansion and is seeking a Temporary Sales Tax Accountant to provide immediate support with sales tax compliance and general accounting responsibilities.
This is a full-time, in-office opportunity where you'll join an established accounting team and make an immediate impact by helping ensure timely and accurate sales tax filings across multiple states.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, file, and remit multi-state sales tax returns and payments
- Ensure sales tax filings are accurate and completed on schedule
- Research and resolve sales tax questions and discrepancies
- Assist with general staff accounting responsibilities as workload requires
- Support month-end accounting activities, reconciliations, and other financial tasks
- Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate financial records and improve processes
What They're Looking For
Required
- Previous experience preparing and filing multi-state sales tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and work independently
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills
