American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and flexibility to float across multiple hospital units on night shifts.

Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across multiple units, including the Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Every other weekend required

No on-call responsibilities

No block scheduling or alternate shift requests permitted — the posted shift is firm

Local candidates are accepted

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration

Must be flexible with scheduling across multiple departments and units

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time to avoid a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
