PART-TIME TEACHING POSITION: STEM Teacher
HOPE Academy is seeking a Part-Time STEM Teacher for classes ranging from elementary to highschool. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who has experience with or a willingness to learn what it is like to work with homeschooled students in a public charter school setting. The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate students to develop their STEM skills including Robotic, Coding, Drones, 3D Print. This is a great position for a teacher who wants to stay in their field of study but does not have the full demands of a full-time teaching position. Job Descriptions:
Position -- Classes on Mondays 9:00 am -3:15 pm / Wednesdays 1:15 pm - 3:15 pm
- Implementation of curriculum, as well as incorporation of supplemental learning activities that build on student knowledge and skills.
- Monitor and track student's progress regularly, which may include connecting "home learning" to classroom instruction.
Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the STEM department's Success
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, CDE Substitute Certified, or experience in related field of study; a teaching license is a plus but not required.
- Strong content knowledge of the subject being taught.
- Proficiency in STEM
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
