Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, grooming, and administering medications as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and disinfecting practices
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety as well as yours
- Assist with pet boarding and outdoor activities to promote animal enrichment and behavior management
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move kennels, supplies, or equipment.
Qualifications
- Ability to remain calm and caring with dogs even when they are loud and don‘t behave.
- Ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform team lifting throughout your shift
- Familiarity with animal behavior principles and pet care facility sanitization standards ensures high-quality care
