The Veterinary Health Center is currently hiring a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant within our Radiation Oncology Team. Our Veterinary Assistants have the opportunity to impact the quality of life for our patients as well as their owners and families. Primary responsibilities for this position may include

Safely restrain, handle, and transport patients; assist with the collection of samples (e.g., blood, urine, and fecal); provide care and monitoring of both hospitalized and clinic patients; and administer medications and treatments as instructed by clinicians.

Maintain clean, organized and fully stocked treatment and examination rooms; maintain diagnostic and/or surgical equipment.

Provide outstanding customer service to clients both in person and in response to phone and email inquiries; utilize the hospital information system and other software and performing accurate data entry regarding patient care.

Perform basic diagnostic procedures as requested within skill set of the particular assistant consistent with MVMB guidelines.
