About the opportunity
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, team members, and property assets, monitoring hotel activity, responding to incidents and emergencies, and enforcing safety and security procedures.
What you'll get to do
- Patrol guest areas, public spaces, parking areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure safety and security
- Monitor property activity and report suspicious behavior, safety concerns, or policy violations
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest or employee incidents, emergencies, and service requests
- Assist with emergency response procedures including fire alarms, medical incidents, evacuations, and disturbances
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems
Skills and Experience
- Prior security, law enforcement, military, or hospitality security experience preferred
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies or difficult situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of emergency procedures and safety practices
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Strong customer service mindset and professional demeanor
