$60,000 base salary. Around $90,000 total in year one. And about 70 phone calls a day — we would rather tell you that now than in week three.
Smash My Trash is hiring two Inside Sales Representatives for our Leawood office. We compact commercial waste on site: our truck compacts what is already inside a business's dumpster, the volume drops about 70%, and they get hauled far less often. Our average customer saves 21.6% off their total waste bill, and we prove it with their own numbers.
What you will earn
▪ $60,000 base salary, paid semi-monthly. Not hourly, not commission-only.
▪ Around $90,000 in total earnings at target in your first year. Commission is uncapped and paid monthly.
▪ $100 for every agreement sent, plus 25% of the monthly recurring revenue on deals that close.
▪ We pay 70% of your medical, dental and vision premiums.
▪ Unlimited paid time off.
▪ Monday to Friday, in our Leawood office. No nights, no weekends, no travel.
What you will do
You call manufacturers, distributors and warehouses. You find the person who is tired of an overflowing dumpster, you tell them what they are probably paying per haul, and you book an appointment for our Director of Sales. You do not run the demo and you do not close the deal. You open the door — and you do it more often than anyone else would.
Other companies call this an SDR, a BDR, or an appointment setter. Here it is the front end of every deal we close.
It is around 50 outbound calls a day into a list you help build. Some days that is four good conversations and two appointments booked. Some days it is nothing. We say that plainly because the people who do well here already know what it feels like.
What we are looking for
▪ One to three years somewhere your individual number was posted where everyone could see it — a dealership BDC, a collections floor, a staffing agency, a gym membership desk, a freight brokerage, a call center.
▪ You know your own numbers without looking them up.
▪ You are comfortable saying a dollar figure out loud.
▪ Hearing no is a Tuesday, not an event.
▪ No degree required, and no waste industry experience required. We will teach you the product.
Where this goes
Middle West Services runs Smash My Trash in three markets and is owned and operated by Integrit Ops, a group that runs several businesses out of our office. Leadership here looks for people who perform and gives them more to run. We would rather grow our next sales leader than hire one.
