J Bar is seeking a motivated, hands-on Site Lead Driver to launch and oversee operations at our satellite location in Turkey, Texas. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and building a successful operation from the ground up.
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the satellite location, including servicing portable sanitation equipment, coordinating site activities, supporting customers, and leading a small team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Company-provided RV accommodations are available during your scheduled work rotation.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Turkey satellite location.
- Service, clean, and maintain portable restrooms, hand wash stations, holding tanks, and related sanitation equipment.
- Deliver, install, relocate, and remove portable sanitation equipment.
- Pump and service portable sanitation units while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental standards.
- Connect temporary piping and assist with site utility setup as needed.
- Coordinate daily work assignments and support site personnel to ensure efficient operations.
- Train and mentor team members on company procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation.
- Cover service routes as business needs require.
- Maintain approximately 71 trailers and related sanitation equipment on-site.
- Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with preventive maintenance to keep trucks and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Update route information and recommend operational improvements.
- Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and responding promptly to requests.
- Assist with general yard duties and other operational needs as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
- Experience in portable sanitation, septic services, construction, utilities, waste services, oilfield services, or a related industry preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Comfortable using smartphones, GPS navigation, and route management software.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Schedule
- 7 Days On / 7 Days Off
- Company-provided RV accommodations during your scheduled work rotation.
- On-call while working your scheduled rotation to support operational needs.
- Extended hours may be required based on customer and business demands.
