Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Process retail sales transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, handling cash and card payments seamlessly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, ensuring all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed.
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Assist in training new team members on food preparation, beverage service, POS operations, and food safety procedures.
- Support daily operations by managing time effectively during busy shifts and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Lead the team during shifts by delegating responsibilities, motivating staff, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during fast-paced shifts.
- Previous experience in food service or retail sales environments is highly desirable.
