Layer Cake Bakery (soon to become Café Mosaic) is a modern bakery, café, and patisserie serving Irvine for over 16 years. We specialize in handcrafted cakes, pastries, desserts, breakfast, and globally inspired flavors.
We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking, and creative team member to join our production kitchen Part-Time, with a Full-Time possibility.

Responsibilities / Responsabilidades
- Prepare breakfast and café menu items (Preparar desayunos y comida del café)
- Bake, assemble, frost, and decorate cakes and desserts (Hornear, rellenar y decorar pasteles y postres)
- Prepare pastries, cookies, tarts, mousses, and other desserts following recipes (Preparar postres siguiendo recetas)
- Roll and prepare croissants and other daily baked goods (Preparar croissants y otros productos diarios)
- Complete custom cake and dessert orders (Preparar órdenes especiales)
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and daily checklists (Seguir recetas, producción y listas diarias)
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and daily production (Apoyar con inventario y producción diaria)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen (Mantener la cocina limpia y organizada)
- Work efficiently with the team and assist wherever needed (Trabajar en equipo y apoyar donde sea necesario)
Requirements / Requisitos
- 1+ year of bakery, pastry, or commercial kitchen experience preferred, or culinary school (1 año de experiencia o escuela culinaria preferida)
- Passion for baking and pastry
- Ability to follow recipes with consistency and attention to detail
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Dependable, organized, and positive attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Morning, afternoon/evening, and weekend availability preferred (Disponibilidad los fines de semana es preferida.)
Pay / Pago
$19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.
