- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to meet evolving goals and needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Skills
- Proven experience implementing speech-language therapy plans for diverse populations including individuals with disabilities or communication challenges.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions.
- Ability to perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized tools and clinical judgment.
- Excellent communication skills for parent collaboration, patient education, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and patient care documentation standards.
- Ability to assess patients’ needs accurately and develop targeted intervention strategies that promote functional communication skills.
