OVERVIEW: The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management. This individual will partner closely with the CFO and business leaders to drive data-informed decision-making while leading the continued optimization of Workday Adaptive Planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the company's annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning processes, translating strategic business objectives into actionable financial plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the FP&A team, fostering development, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Deliver monthly forecasts, analyze performance against plan, and communicate key business drivers and financial risks to execute leadership.
- Evaluate growth opportunities through financial modeling and scenario analysis related to acquisitions, new investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as the primary owner of Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring planning models support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and workforce planning activities.
- Collaborate across Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, and IT to improve forecast projections, improve visibility, and support informed business decisions.
- Create and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, and performance metrics that provide clear visibility into financial operations results for the CEO, CFO, and Board.
- Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning models using Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging automation, data analytics, and predictive modeling to increase forecast accuracy and reporting efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience, including at least 5 years leading enterprise-wide planning functions.
- Proven experience leading and developing FP&A or finance teams, including direct management of approximately 5–10 team members, with a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop future leaders.
- Expert-level knowledge of Workday Adaptive Planning, with demonstrated success leading implementations, major enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, scenario planning, forecasting, budgeting, dashboard development, and KPI reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Workday Financials, Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite, and business intelligence tools including Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, enterprise data platforms, and leveraging technology to drive scalable planning and reporting processes.
- Proven experience leading finance transformation initiatives and supporting high-growth and/or private equity-backed organizations preferred.
- Strategic, hands-on finance leader with exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional influence, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies and drive organizational decision-making.
- Highly organized self-starter with excellent time management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple initiatives, managing competing deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
