Job Description:
A young family based between New York City and the Hamptons is seeking an experienced, warm, and proactive Nanny to support their household and provide attentive care for their two-year-old daughter and newborn in May 2027.
The role is designed for someone who is excited to act as a true extra set of hands, comfortably balancing focused childcare with light household and family support throughout the day.
The family has a happy, curious, active, and highly social toddler. They are looking for a Nanny who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment that supports early development through age-appropriate activities, learning, creativity, reading, and play. The household is learning-oriented, and the family values someone who shares this approach.
The family is very hands-on and spends time directly involved in their child’s daily routine, particularly during the mornings. The child attends preschool daily from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, with drop-off managed by the family.
During school hours and downtime, the Nanny will be expected to take a proactive approach to household and family support, including:
Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the child
Organising and maintaining children’s spaces
Managing children’s laundry and related daily tasks
Supporting light household organisation and tidying (toys, clothing, general upkeep)
Helping maintain a calm, structured, and well-run home environment
A housekeeper is employed twice weekly, so deep cleaning is not required.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: approximately 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Includes support through dinner and bath time
Optional Saturday care: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (not essential)
The family splits time between NYC and the Hamptons. From mid-May through mid-September, the role becomes live-in in the Hamptons. While in New York City, the candidate must have their own accommodation.
The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. The family travels internationally approximately 2–4 weeks per year.
Strong communication skills are essential, as the family is seeking a true collaborative partner in managing both household rhythm and child development.

Highly experienced with toddlers and early childhood care
