Metro Detroit Screen Printing is a Sterling Heights based screen printing shop dedicated to delivering high-quality custom apparel and exceptional customer service. We’re looking for a self motivated and organized graphic designer/front of house specialist to join our team and help us create a personalized experience for our clients.
We are seeking a well communicated and people skilled professional to be the main graphic designer and face of our screen printing shop. This role combines graphic art, customer service, sales, and creative skills to support our clients and keep operations running smoothly. If you’re a multi-tasker with a knack for organization and a passion for creativity, we’d love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Create artwork from scratch and prepare client provided artwork for screens and production.
- Create mock-ups and design proofs using Adobe Illustrator for client approval.
- Prepare accurate quotes and invoices for client projects.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client emails and phone inquiries.
- Meet with clients to discuss project needs, on site pick up/drop offs, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage front-end operations, including scheduling and coordinating with the production team.
- Assist our CEO with client service tasks.
- Maintain a welcoming and organized front office environment.
- Order apparel from wholesalers
- Great people and communication skills
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in the screen printing industry
- Experience in customer service and client-facing roles.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and photoshop for creating mock-ups (required).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for professional client interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with creating quotes, invoices, or basic bookkeeping is a plus.
- Positive attitude, team player, and ability to handle client inquiries with patience and professionalism.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, business, or related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8AM - 4PM or 9AM-5 PM
- Reliable transportation to our shop in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
