Job Overview:
The Line Lead on the Variety Packaging team is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment that assembles mixed product cases or multipacks according to production schedules. This role serves as a lead resource on the line, providing guidance to operators and supporting the line Supervisor. This role ensures products are packaged accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable and committed to maintaining high production and quality performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
· Operate and monitor variety packaging equipment to ensure accurate and efficient packing of mixed product cases or multipacks
· Verify correct product mix, labels and packaging materials used according to production schedules and specifications
· Perform line changeovers and adjustments as needed for different product SKUs
· Conduct visual quality checks on packaging appearance, codes, seals and counts to ensure all products meet company and customer standards
· Maintain accurate production records, including counts, waste, downtime, etc.
· Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages or product issues to supervisor
· Assist with routine cleaning, sanitation and preventative maintenance of equipment and work areas
· Collaborate with team member to ensure smooth line operation and efficient changeovers
· Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying and communicating opportunities for process, safety or efficiency enhancements
· Follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices in support of Impact Beverage Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification including but not limited to documentation, housekeeping, use of hair/facial coverings, wear of nitrile gloves, and the wear of jewelry
Line Lead Additional Responsibilities
· Act as the primary point of contact for the line during assigned shift
· Provide direction and guidance to packaging operators to maintain consistent workflow
· Lead and support line startups, changeovers and shutdowns to ensure accuracy and efficiency
· Monitor line performance, escalating issues relating to safety, quality or productivity
· Lead training and onboarding or new or cross-trained operators
· Serve as a resource to operators regarding equipment operation, standard work expectations and best practices
· Communicate staffing needs, material shortages and operational challenges to supervisor
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
· Effective, constructive, and efficient coordination, communication, and collaboration with all members of the Impact Beverage Staff, especially members of the Production Department
· Working when and as needed to achieve production schedule goals
· Conducting oneself in a professional manner when representing Impact Beverage, whether inside or outside of the facility
Physical Demands:
· Operate inside confined spaces
· Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 50pounds
· Possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools
· Execute repetitive motions for long periods when necessary
· Required to stand, crouch, lift and climb ladders
· Work at height
· Wear appropriate PPE for a given task
· Follow Impact Beverage Dress Code
Requirements:
· 2+ years’ experience as a packaging operator or equivalent
· High School Diploma or GED
· Ability to operate heavy equipment in a safe manner
· 18 years of age or older
· Provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA
