Long-Term Substitute School PsychologistAugust 31, 2026, to January 11, 2027(Woodsdale Elementary School and Abington Middle School)Abington Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute School Psychologist to complete psychological testing in accordance with special education regulations as well as provide direct service to meet the social and emotional needs of students. The successful candidate will assume these responsibilities at Woodsdale Elementary School and at Abington Middle School during consecutive parental leave periods. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of methods of assessment, learning processes, and instructional interventions to meet students needs. Strong clinical skills and a highly collaborative work ethic are essential to this role.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct psychological assessments, interpret results, develop recommendations, and participate in Student Support Team meetingsProvide individual and/or small group counseling for studentsServe as a first responder on the school crisis teamCollaborate with school staff around interventions and accommodations to studentsProvide consultation services to parents/caregivers as neededCommunicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administratorsOther duties as assigned
